Helping children rebuild confidence in learning
Calm, personalised learning support for primary-aged children in North Tyneside. Because confidence is the foundation of learning.
Why House of Orkney Education?
At House of Orkney Education in Whitley Bay, every child is seen, supported and celebrated.
Primary-aged learners thrive when they feel safe, understood and genuinely interested in what they are learning. When children feel calm and confident, learning stops feeling like a struggle and begins to make sense again.
That is the environment we aim to create.
Through expert teaching, practical hands-on learning and warm, relational support, we help children rebuild confidence, spark curiosity and make meaningful progress.
Because every learner deserves more than simply coping with education. They deserve a place where they can truly thrive.
A confidence-first approach to learning
Real progress happens when children feel relaxed, respected and understood.
When primary-aged pupils feel emotionally safe, they are far more able to re-engage with learning, take healthy risks and rediscover what they are capable of. For some children this means slowing the pace, rebuilding foundations or approaching learning in a different way.
At House of Orkney Education, we look beyond the curriculum and focus on the whole child.
Sessions are carefully tailored to each learner’s needs, interests and emotional readiness so they feel confident and in control of their learning journey.
How we support children and families
House of Orkney Education currently supports families and schools in several ways:
Expert tuition
Flexible support including in-person and online sessions, small-group Learning Hubs and 1:1 tuition for primary-aged children.
Learning support for home-educated children
A calm and structured learning environment for families choosing home education in Whitley Bay and surrounding areas.
Support for schools and professionals
Working alongside schools and professionals to support pupils who may benefit from a smaller, more personalised learning environment for a period of time.
Working together
We work closely with parents, schools and professionals across Whitley Bay and the surrounding area to ensure every child receives the right support, at the right pace and in the right environment.
Our goal is simple.
To create learning spaces where children feel safe enough to try, supported enough to grow and confident enough to rediscover what they are capable of.
For educators
House of Orkney Education also reflects a growing belief that learning environments can be designed differently.
Alongside working with children and families, I am increasingly connecting with educators who are exploring new ways to teach, support learners and build education spaces that align with their values.
If you are an educator interested in creating something different, you are very welcome here too.
